Bronwyn Ramey is a laboratory director and consultant with more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Having developed novel systems for integrated data analysis, haplotyping and translational reporting, Bronwyn and her firm, Phoenix laboratory consulting, has featured in Roche white paper on pharmacogenetics laboratory development. Bronwyn started her heath career in 1999 at Trinity University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in biology. Not long after, she bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in microbiology, biochemistry at the Indiana University Bloomington in 2004.

Currently operating as the founder and CEO of Phoenix Laboratory Consulting; a freelance copyeditor at JMIR Publications; and a laboratory director at OneOme, Bronwyn’s level of expertise in academic and clinical laboratories is unique and rare. With core competencies in assay development and clinical laboratory consulting; and scientific specialities in molecular genetics and pharmacogenetics, Bronwyn shows herself worthy of membership in notable communities such as American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, Association for Molecular Pathology, and American Society for Clinical Pathology

Bronwyn is also an active member of the American Association of Bioanalysts, Clinical Pharmacogenomics Implementation Consortium, and Pharmacogenomics Research Network, among others. Referenced in numerous publications, Bronwyn has made oral presentations at numerous seminars such as 2017’s Kentucky County Day School STEM seminar and 2008’s Affiliates for Life Sciences (OVALS) continuing education seminar held by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
