Description:

Jeremy Johnston has been a proven leader in anatomic pathology for over 17 years. With 11 years of managing CAP and CLIA laboratory staff and processes, he has also been responsible as a CAP inspector for rigorous inspection of numerous laboratories varying in size and complexity. 


After graduating from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Jeremy’s career began as a histotechnologist for Rogue Valley Medical Center. Since then, he has been in a position to oversee all functions of histology and immunohistochemistry departments, coordinate and develop new laboratory methodologies, conduct developmental research projects, and train other staff in quality control standards.


Jeremy is certified both as a Histotechnician (ASCP) and QIHC (ASCP). He serves as the director on the National Society of Histotechnology Board and is an active collaborator on numerous HistoQIP publications. Technical skills include proficiency with manual and automated real-time PCR, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, and fluorescent in-situ hybridization.
