Jillian Harrington is a clinical laboratory director with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Jillian exhibits a high level of expertise in molecular genetics, research and biotechnology. With core competencies in molecular diagnostics, clinical toxicology, diagnostic immunology, forensic identity, and genetic testing, Jillian stands out from many professionals in her field. She started her health career in 2000 at the University of Connecticut where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Molecular and Cell Biology, Genetics Focus. In 2006, she bagged a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology.

Currently the director of laboratory operations at Kaiser Permanente (Northwest), Jillian has made key contributions to her workplace. She has successfully organized, managed, validated, and implemented regional laboratory’s system-wide operational testing response to SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus strain). Her unique leadership and management skills have helped keep numerous laboratories in business. She also works as a clinical consultant for many CLIA certified diagnostic laboratories such as ZRT Laboratory (Oregon).

Jillian’s wealth of experience hasn’t gone unnoticed. She enjoys professional certifications from reputable institutions. She is a certified laboratory director and technical supervisor in molecular diagnostics by the ABB (American Board of Bioanlysis). Jillian holds a New York State clinical laboratory permit after earning a certification of qualification from the Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program. She is also a worthy member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
