Megan Landsverk is a clinical laboratory director, researcher and instructor with more than 13 years of experience in the healthcare sector. With specialisations in biochemistry, clinical genetics and molecular biology and expereince in academic, hospital, and commerical laboratory settings, Megan possesses a unique skillset coveted by many in her profession. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in both Biology and Chemistry ‘summa cum laude' from the University of North Dakota in 2001. In 2007, she received a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine (Houston) in which her work on muscle development was featured on the cover of the Journal of Cell Biology. She then transitioned to clinic genetics work as a postdoc at the University of Washington. Dr. Landsverk then returned to Baylor College of Medicine to complete her fellowship in clinical molecular genetics.

Currently the senior director of service operations at PerkinElmer, Megan has a long history of directing laboratory operations. She has extensive knowledge in the development, validation and implementation of NGS processes for gene panels, focused and whole exomes, and genomes including both manual and automated processes. She has experience in multiple aspects of germline, somatic, pharmacogenetic and mitochondrial testing including targeted qPCR assays, microarray analysis, and sanger sequencing.

Megan is board certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. She is also a licenced laboratory director. She is a worthy member of both the American Society of Human Genetics and American College of Medical Genetics. Her publication record highlights the depth and breadth of her experience.
