Sridevi Devaraj is a medical director and professor with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Having worked in numerous clinical research centers, Devaraj seeks to make a unique breakthrough in the field of Clinical Chemistry. With many notable academic appointments to her name, Devaraj has lectured countless students in the department of Pathology across different universities in the States. She started her health career in 1894 at the University of Madras (India) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Zoology. She also acquired a Master’s degree in Clinical Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the same university. She has since been a postdoctoral fellow of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. 

Currently holding the role of Medical Director and Professor at TCH Lab, Baylor College of Medicine; Devaraj exhibits a level of competence that is rare. She is a worthy member of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association. She has also received several awards and honors for her hard work, which include 2018’s Global Ambassador award of AACC Asia Pacific Region and Clinical Mentor Award of the Department of Pathology, TCH.

Devaraj’s glittering career is evident in the number of research support grants she has received. She is the co-investigator of several research projects carried out by organisations like American Diabetes Association, Genzyme Diagnostics and Roche Vitamins; among many others. She is featured in hundreds of publications and is a regular speaker and presenter at notable meetings, most recently the Asia Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry Annual Meeting in India.
